Getting Started
Accessing the Booking Portal
Visit https://walmarthealth.phoxbook.ca to access the booking portal. The system will display available services based
on your pharmacy's configuration.
Browser Requirements
- Modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
- JavaScript enabled
- Cookies enabled for session persistence
Booking an Appointment
Step 1: Select Your Service Category
When you first visit the booking portal, you'll see a list of available service categories:
- Minor Illnesses and Common Conditions - Assessment and treatment for common health concerns
- Flu Shot - Seasonal influenza vaccination
- COVID-19 Vaccine - COVID-19 vaccination and boosters
- Immunizations & Injections - Vaccines and injectable medications
- On Site Testing - Health screening and diagnostic testing
- Medication Reviews & Chronic Condition Management - Medication reviews and chronic disease management
- Prescription Services - Prescription renewals and blister pack services
Action: Click on your desired service card to proceed.
Step 2: Select Vaccines & People
For vaccination services, you can book for multiple people:
1. Number of People - Use the +/- buttons to add up to 6 people
2. Vaccine Type - Select the specific vaccine for each person:
- Flu Shot (Regular)
- Flu Shot (65+ High-Dose)
- COVID-19 variants as available
Action: Make your selections and click "Select Location & Time".
Step 3: Find a Pharmacy Location
Find a convenient pharmacy location using the search tools:
How to Search
1. By City or Postal Code:
- Type your city name (e.g., "Toronto") or postal code (e.g., "L4B 4L9") in the search field
- Click the Search button to see results
2. By Current Location:
- Click "Use My Current Location" button
- Allow location access when prompted by your browser
- Nearby pharmacies will appear automatically sorted by distance
Understanding Search Results
After searching, you'll see a list of available pharmacies. Each pharmacy card shows:
- Pharmacy Name - Store name and number (e.g., "Walmart Pharmacy – 3000")
- Address - Full street address with city and postal code
- Distance - How far the pharmacy is from your search location
- Next Available - The soonest appointment time available
Filtering Results
Use the filter buttons to narrow your options:
- All - All available pharmacies
- Weekday - Pharmacies with weekday appointments
- Weekdays After 5PM - Evening appointments for after work
- Weekend - Saturday and Sunday availability
- Walmart Clinic - Walmart Clinic locations only
Selecting a Pharmacy
Click on any pharmacy card to:
- Expand the card and see available time slots
- View the full address and get directions
- See the calendar with available dates
Action: Click on a pharmacy to select it and view available times.
Step 4: Choose Date & Time
After selecting a pharmacy:
1. Calendar - Available dates are shown in the calendar
2. Time Slots - 15-minute appointment slots appear for the selected date
3. Availability - Slots shown are confirmed available
Tips:
- Green/available slots can be selected
- Gray/unavailable slots are already booked
- Navigate between months using the arrows
Action: Select your preferred date and time, then click "Continue to Information".
Step 5: Enter Patient Information
Provide details for each person being booked:
Required Information
- First Name - Legal first name
- Last Name - Legal last name
- Date of Birth - Month, Day, Year format
- Gender - Male, Female, Non-binary, Other
Contact Information
- Email Address - For confirmation and reminders
- Phone Number - Canadian format (10 digits)
Action: Fill in all required fields and click "Review Appointment".
Step 6: Review & Confirm
Review all appointment details before confirming:
Appointment Summary
- Location - Pharmacy name and address
- Date & Time - Scheduled appointment slot
- Services - Selected vaccines/services
- Patient Information - Name, DOB, gender for each person
Contact Information
- Email and phone number for confirmations
Privacy Consent
- ☐ Required: Check the box to accept the Privacy Notice and Consent
Action: Review details, accept privacy terms, click "Confirm Appointment".
Step 7: Confirmation
Upon successful booking, you'll see:
- ✅ Confirmation Number - Save this 6-character code (e.g., GVHQNW)
- 📍 Location Details - Pharmacy address with link to directions
- 📅 Date & Time - Your scheduled appointment
- 💉 Services - What you've booked
- ⚠️ Important Reminders - Preparation instructions
Actions Available
- Add to Calendar - Download calendar invite (.ics)
- Book Another Appointment - Start a new booking
- Print - Print confirmation details
Managing Your Appointment
Accessing Your Appointment
Use your confirmation code to manage your appointment:
URL Format: https://walmarthealth.phoxbook.ca/manage/[CONFIRMATION-CODE]
Example: https://walmarthealth.phoxbook.ca/manage/GVHQNW
Available Actions
- View Details - See full appointment information
- Reschedule - Change date/time (subject to availability)
- Cancel - Cancel the appointment
Rescheduling
1. Access your appointment using the confirmation code
2. Click "Reschedule"
3. Select a new date and time
4. Confirm the change
Cancelling
1. Access your appointment using the confirmation code
2. Click "Cancel Appointment"
3. Confirm cancellation
4. You'll receive a cancellation confirmation email
Joining a Waitlist
If no appointments are available, you can join a waitlist:
How Waitlist Works
1. Complete service and location selection
2. If no slots available, click "Join Waitlist"
3. Enter your contact information
4. You'll be notified when a slot opens
Waitlist Notifications
When a slot becomes available:
- You'll receive an SMS/email with a booking link
- Link expires after a limited time
- First come, first served for released slots
Completing Waitlist Booking
1. Click the link in your notification
2. Confirm the available time slot
3. Complete patient information
4. Confirm your booking
Unsubscribing from Communications
Managing Preferences
To unsubscribe from marketing or promotional communications:
1. Click the unsubscribe link in any email
2. Or visit /unsubscribe
3. Enter your email address
4. Confirm your unsubscribe request
What You'll Still Receive
Even after unsubscribing from marketing, you'll continue to receive:
- Appointment confirmations
- Appointment reminders
- Important health notices
These transactional messages are required for your care.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues
- No available appointments - Try different dates, times, or nearby pharmacies
- Page won't load - Clear browser cache, try different browser
- Form validation errors - Ensure all required fields are filled correctly
- Can't find confirmation - Check spam folder, contact pharmacy
Getting Help
- Click the chat bubble in the bottom-right corner for live support
- Contact your pharmacy directly for appointment-specific questions
- Check your spam folder for missing emails
Technical Requirements
- Stable internet connection
- Pop-up blocker disabled (for some features)
- Location services enabled (for "Use My Location")
