A visual step-by-step guide to booking a pharmacy appointment.

This guide shows the complete booking journey with screenshots from each step.

Step 1: Service Selection

What You'll See

Description

The homepage displays all available service categories as clickable cards. Each card shows:

  • Service icon - Visual indicator of the service type

  • Service name - Clear title for the category

  • Description - Brief explanation of what's included

  • Arrow - Indicates you can click to proceed

Available Services

  • 🩺 Minor Illnesses - Cough, cold, skin conditions, UTI, etc.

  • 💉 Flu Shot - Annual flu vaccination

  • 🦠 COVID-19 Vaccine - COVID-19 vaccination or booster

  • 💊 Immunizations & Injections - Travel vaccines, other immunizations

  • 🔬 On Site Testing - Blood pressure, A1C, cholesterol tests

  • 📋 Medication Reviews - MedsCheck, chronic disease management

  • 📝 Prescription Services - Renewals, blister packs

Action

Click on the service card that matches your needs.


Step 2: Vaccine & People Selection

What You'll See

Description

After selecting a vaccination service, you'll see options to:

  1. Select number of people - Book for 1-6 people in one session

  2. Choose specific vaccines - Pick the right option for each person

Vaccine Options (Example: Flu Shot)

  • Flu Shot (Regular) - Standard flu vaccine for most adults

  • Flu Shot (65y+) - High-dose formulation for seniors

Action

  1. Adjust the number of people with + / - buttons

  2. Check the vaccine(s) for each person

  3. Click "Select Location & Time"


Step 3: Location Selection

Part A: Search for Pharmacy

You have two ways to find a pharmacy:

  • Search by Location - Type city name or postal code, click Search

  • Use My Current Location - Click the button to auto-detect your location

Part B: Choose from Results

Search results show pharmacies sorted by distance.

Each pharmacy card displays:

  • Pharmacy name and store number

  • Full street address

  • Distance from your search location

  • Next available appointment time

Quick Filters: All | Weekday | After 5PM | Weekend | Walmart Clinic

Action

Click on a pharmacy card to see available times.


Step 4: Date & Time Selection

What You'll See

Description

After selecting a pharmacy, the scheduling panel appears:

Calendar Section:

  • Navigate between months with < and > arrows

  • Available dates are highlighted

  • Click a date to see time slots

Time Slot Grid:

  • 15-minute appointment slots

  • Colored slots are available

  • Gray slots are unavailable

Action

  1. Select a date from the calendar

  2. Choose a time slot from the grid

  3. Click "Continue to Information"


Step 5: Patient Information

What You'll See

Description

Enter details for each person in your booking:

Patient Details:

  • First Name - Text (e.g., Jane)

  • Last Name - Text (e.g., Doe)

  • Date of Birth - Month / Day / Year (e.g., January / 15 / 1990)

  • Gender - Selection (e.g., Female)

Contact Information:

Action

  1. Fill in all required fields

  2. Verify information is correct

  3. Click "Review Appointment"


Step 6: Review & Confirm

What You'll See

Description

Final summary before booking:

Appointment Details:

  • ✅ Pharmacy location and address

  • ✅ Date and time

  • ✅ Services selected

  • ✅ Patient information summary

Contact Details:

  • Email for confirmation

  • Phone for reminders

Privacy Consent (Required):

  • ☐ Check box to accept Privacy Notice and Consent

Action

  1. Review all details carefully

  2. Click "Edit" if changes needed

  3. Check the privacy consent box

  4. Click "Confirm Appointment"


Step 7: Confirmation

What You'll See

Description

🎉 Appointment Confirmed!

Your confirmation screen shows:

  • Confirmation Number - 6-character code (save this!)

  • Location - Pharmacy address with directions link

  • Date & Time - Your scheduled appointment

  • Services - What you've booked

  • Important Reminders - Preparation instructions

Available Actions

  • Add to Calendar - Download .ics calendar invite

  • Book Another - Start a new booking

  • Print - Print confirmation for records

What Happens Next

  1. 📧 Email Confirmation - Sent immediately

  2. 📱 SMS Confirmation - If phone provided

  3. Reminder - 24 hours before appointment


Need to Make Changes?

Use your confirmation number to:

  • Reschedule at /manage/YOUR-CODE

  • Cancel your appointment

  • View appointment details


Tips for a Smooth Experience

Before You Start:

  • Have patient information ready

  • Know your preferred location

  • Have email/phone available

During Booking:

  • Double-check dates and times

  • Verify patient details before confirming

  • Save your confirmation number

Before Your Appointment:

  • Bring health card and ID

  • Arrive 5-10 minutes early
